The subject is an old weathered and broken &#8220;Garden Angel&#8221; Statue from the yard. <a href=\"http:\/\/labs.autodesk.com\/utilities\/photo_scene_editor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Photofly<\/a> picked up all kinds of nice detail in the mesh and texture. In these two shots displacement is off, only a little bump. Rendered in Max with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxwellrender.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maxwell Render 2.5<\/a>. BTW this was rendered @ 720p to SL 8 with only HDRI light in 1 to 2 minutes a frame with a core i7-920 with full DOF and Motionblur at render-time! Who says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxwellrender.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maxwell&#8217;s<\/a> slow!<\/p>\n<p>Next week I&#8217;ll post a little walk-through video tutorial covering from photo taking to rendering of this scene plus a few others. I am also putting together a brief video looking at some workflows for VFX and Architectural Visualization.
